It is one of the largest youth volunteer organizations in Uttar Pradesh, working to bridge the gap between the educated and the underprivileged. Our mission is to empower youth to become kind and responsible citizens for a stronger and inclusive India. For Mahakumbh 2025, we are proud to present the Kumbh Mitra Internship Program—an innovative initiative where volunteers will provide essential services to millions of pilgrims participating in this grand spiritual event. Role OverviewAs a Kumbh Mitra (Friend of Kumbh), you will be part of a dedicated team ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of the pilgrims. This program offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a historic event, develop key skills, and make a positive impact on society. Key Responsibilities Pilgrim Assistance Services:• Operating help desks to provide information on routes, facilities, and programs.• Assisting senior citizens and differently-abled individuals at the event venues. Program Coordination and Crowd Management:• Managing crowds smoothly at ghats, temples, and other key locations.• Collaborating with local authorities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Emergency Response and First Aid:• Providing basic first aid and directing pilgrims to medical facilities as needed.• Maintaining order and safety during emergency situations or evacuations. Environmental and Sanitation Campaigns:• Leading cleanliness campaigns to maintain public hygiene at event sites.• Promoting sustainable practices like waste segregation and plastic-free initiatives.• Sharing information about the spiritual and cultural significance of the Mahakumbh.• Acting as a bridge between pilgrims and the local community, enriching their experience. Eligibility CriteriaWe are looking for enthusiastic individuals who:• Are 18 years or older.• Have good communication skills in Hindi or English (knowledge of local dialects is a plus).• Are passionate about social service, adaptable, and committed.• Can dedicate a minimum of 30 days during the internship period.
